Project Description

The 124th Avenue NE project focused on widening the roadway to five lanes to improve access and circulation for all modes of transportation—cars, transit, freight, pedestrians, and bicycles—between downtown Bellevue, Wilburton, and the BelRed area. It aimed to support anticipated growth and development outlined in the BelRed Subarea Plan. The project also included roadway restoration, new pedestrian and bicycle pathways, improved street lighting, and updated traffic operations.

JTS provided construction inspection services and contributed to improvements in access and circulation. Our team confirmed alignment with future land-use plans in the BelRed area; developed design solutions; managed project implementation; and coordinated cost-sharing efforts with Sound Transit’s East Link light rail project.
