Project Description

Route 44 is a 10.7-mile east-west trolley bus route in North Seattle. Funded by a combination of local and state funds, the project resulted in the following improvements:

  • Sidewalk upgrades
  • Access to transportation
  • Improved transit reliability and reduced transit travel times
  • Dedicated bus lanes
  • Signal upgrades or optimization
  • Channelization changes or turn restrictions
  • Safety improvements

JTS provided oversight, inspection, monitoring, coordination, and documentation of contractor’s activities during construction. Our team verified compliance with project plans and specifications and facilitated project activities requiring coordination and planning with King County Metro, Seattle Public Utilities, Seattle City Light, and other public and private stakeholders.
